Kaktussimo - Sculpture Porte Encens - Alnoor
15 05 2009Cette sculpture de cristal a reçu le prix Découverte Maison & Objet 2007.
Elle est exposée par le Musée du grand Curtius (Belgique), pendant l’année 2009, dans le cadre de sa réouverture.
Kaktussimo est né du rapprochement des Cristalleries Val Saint Lambert (première cristallerie d’Europe) avec le designer Alnoor (qui cultive sa singularité en éditant sa propre collection de luminaires, tout en travaillant aussi pour des marques prestigieuses du luxe et de la parfumerie).
Pour la cristallerie, Alnoor a voulu faire le lien entre ses origines indiennes et les excentriques créations de Val Saint Lambert pour les palais de Maharadjahs durant les années folles : vaisselles fastueuses, escaliers de cristal… Il a proposé ce porte-encens surdimensionné, objet dispensant parfum et relaxation pour les palais modernes que sont les grands hôtels de luxe d’aujourd’hui.
Kaktussimo, sculpture de taille quasi-humaine (1,20 m), crée l’étonnement ; cette pièce « hybride » tient simultanément du Sacré et du Profane.
