16 10 2008Pénélope Bagieu, jeune illustratrice parisienne de 26 ans croque son quotidien à travers son double, Pénélope Jolicoeur, un personnage attachant et bourré d’humour.
Dans la vraie vie Pénélope Bagieu, dessine pour des magazines, des pubs et des livres.
Elle est notamment à l'origine des illustrations d'une campagne de communication pour Marie (surgelés), sur support télévisuel, affichage et Internet.
Chaque jour cette jeune diplômée de l’École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, expose avec humour ses tranches de vie et illustre ses propres aventures et mésaventures sur son blog.
Son personnage, Pénélope Jolicoeur, à sa tête, son appartement, ses copines, son métier, son chéri et ses tracas.
Son univers est alimenté par ce que Pénélope voit dans la rue, dans les magazines et par tous les petits riens qui pimentent sa journée.
Ses dessins simples et sensibles l’ont rapidement projetée au devant de la scène et son blog « Ma vie est tout à fait fascinante » compte plus de 30 000 visiteurs par jour.
Buzz oblige, les internautes sont séduits et son blog lui ouvre les portes de l’édition.
De cet engouement est née une BD, « Ma vie est tout à fait fascinante », publiée aux éditions Gawsewitch et récompensée au festival d’Angoulème (Prix du « meilleur blog adapté en livre).
En octobre 2008 Pénélope Bagieu sort deuxième album, « Joséphine », et met en scène un personnage aussi désespérant qu’attachant, stéréotype de la petite parisienne qui se débat avec son boulot, sa mère, ses kilos et son look. Un régal !
