Piquantes, délurées et sensuelles, elles ont fait la réputation du dessinateur Kiraz et reviennent sur le devant de la scène ; cette fois-ci, les célèbres Parisiennes se sont donné rendez-vous au musée Carnavalet pour la toute première rétrospective de cet artiste.
Nées dans les années 1950, d’un trait de crayon et d’éclats de couleurs, les créatures de Kiraz entrent dans la légende à l’aube des années 1960 dans les pages du magazine Jours de France (1959 – 1987). Les Parisiennes font aussi les beaux jours de Marie-Claire, Gala, Paris-Match, Elle et illustrent encore maintenant une page coquine du Playboy américain. Dans les années 1990, elles tiennent le haut de l’affiche en jouant les stars de la publicité : Canderel, Clio Chipie, Nivéa…
Fidèles à l’esprit de Paris qui les caractérise, les filles « prodigues » de Kiraz s’invitent dans le plus parisien des musées de la capitale et inscrivent ainsi leurs fameuses aventures dans l’histoire de la ville. Cette exposition est l’occasion unique de découvrir les Parisiennes dans leur ensemble et sous toutes les coutures : intemporelles dans leur féminité, indémodables dans leurs styles et déconcertantes d’actualité dans leur propos.
Gouaches originales, peintures inédites, dessins, reportages, croquis, photographies, coupures de presse, affiches publicitaires… : près de 230 œuvres présentent toute une vie de travail passionné de l’artiste Kiraz, dont l’amour de Paris et de sa gent féminine éclairent cette première rétrospective.
